Hey guy's
my name is JD and I am new to fly fishing. I was introduced to fly fishing this year on my first fly fishing only trip to the Williams river this past April. My eyes were opened to the exciting world of fly fishing and I haven't picked up a bait caster since. I went with Derick, Rick and Brian from the Ironton area. We had a great time but I only caught one trout on the Williams. I did have a brown chase one of my own wooly's that I tied the week before but I didn't get him hooked. My heart pounded at the thought of catching a fish on a fly that I hand tied.
My next trip was to the Cherry River with Rick this past August. We slayed em. We was only there for a day and a half but I guess we both caught about twenty fish a piece. Rick landed a nice brown on the Cranberry and I was there to take his picture like you see on TV. It was a great moment.
Our next trip is in a day and a half. We are going to Seneca Rocks area and I cant think of any thing else but tight lines. This will be our longest trip that I have been on. Any body out there got any suggestions on fly patterns to use.
